GDID Fees for 2010

Total cost for the GDID in New Zealand dollars is:

  • NZ$4,500 for NZ students,
  • NZ$11,502 for International students.

Each individual paper costs:

  • NZ$750 for NZ citizens,
  • NZ$1,917 for all others

Note:

  • All New Zealand citizens pay the New Zealand fee, regardless of their current country of residence

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have a record of successful previous study at a tertiary level. For example, you might have a Bachelors degree or higher, an Associate degree, or an equivalent level diploma (usually a 3 year qualification).

Or:

Five years' relevant work experience, with verified evidence of the following:

  • Written communication: Effective written documents completed to meet the needs of a specific audience.
  • Problem solving skills: Gathering, and analysing information to write documents that meet the needs of a specific audience
  • Document process management: Co-ordinating, planning and overseeing document projects to meet the needs of a specific audience.

Entry Requirements - Non English Speakers

You need a level of English appropriate for academic requirements, as indicated by one of the following:

  • A degree gained with English as the medium of instruction

    OR
  • An IELTS score of 8 and no lower than 8 in Reading, and Writing.

    OR
  • TOEFL test scores: 640 (paper-based) or 273 (computer-based)

These requirements apply to all NESB students, whether international students or permanent residents of New Zealand.

What will I need to work with the online course?

System requirements to use the BlackBoard online teaching environment:

  • Platform: Windows 2000, NT, ME or XP; MacOS 9 or MacOS X; Linux
  • Software: Microsoft Word or equivalent, Adobe Acrobat Reader 4 or above.
  • Competence in basic word processing skills.
  • Browser: A commonly-used current browser such as IE 5.0 or above.
  • JavaScript & Cookies must be enabled.
  • Full Internet access. Broadband is recommended for a good online experience, but is not necessary.
