CPIT School of Hairdressing

The usual pathway for a career in hairdressing is to start with a pre trade programme and then move into employment as an apprentice, working towards higher trade certificates to become fully qualified.

To enter the pre trade programme you will ideally meet the following minimum requirements (if you do not but feel you have the equivalent please contact us):

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • At least two years secondary education, with 12 NCEA Level 1 credits in literacy and 12 NCEA Level 1 credits in numeracy.

Complete and return the Hairdressing application form to the CPIT School of Professional Hairdressing.
