CPIT's programmes of study in Chef Training are:

Diploma in Professional Cookery
Level: 5 - This one year programme builds on the levels of skill previously developed through training and work experience. The programme covers a broad range of advanced cookery knowledge and skills required for progression as a chef in the hospitality industry. The programme incorporates the National Certificate in Hospitality (Cookery) Level 4 and the City and Guilds International Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking (Culinary Arts). The programme is designed to apply advanced cookery skills and allied administrative and kitchen management skills in an applied environment.

Certificate in Cookery for the Hospitality Industry
Level: 3 - This one year programme covers a broad range of cookery knowledge and skills required for employment as a chef in the hospitality industry. The programme incorporates the Natlonal Certificate in Hospitality (Basic Cookery) Level 3 and the City and Guilds International Certificate in Food Preparation and Cooking. The programme is designed to apply cookery and allied theoretical knowledge in a predominantly practically focused environment. Core cookery skills are integrated with food hygiene, kitchen calculations, recipe interpretation and essential restaurant service skills.

What are my career options upon completing my chef training at CPIT?

Graduates of the chef training programmes at CPIT can choose to either continue their studies in the culinary arts and/or Hospitality Management or seek employment in any of the following
