What do I need to know?

Successful completion of this programme will require applicants to speak and understand English to a level that will ensure safe work instructions are able to be followed. You will need to have good English and Maths skills to assist with your understanding of theory and calculations. You will need to have the physical ability to work in all areas of the trade. The inability to meet the above recommendations may create harm to yourself or others.

Career & Further Opportunities

Holders of this National Certificate will be able to work in collision repair of refinishing workshop as a qualified Assistant Technician. These new qualifications lead on to National Certificate Qualifications at level 4. Completion of specialised training at level 5 is also available leading to the National Certificate in Motor Industry (Advanced Technical) (Level 5) with strands in Automotive Electrical and Mechanical, and Collision Repair.
