The Canterbury Tertiary College (CTC) is a partnership between CPIT and local secondary schools and provides a bridge between school and the adult world of tertiary education. We give Year 12 and 13 students the chance to study for a vocational pathway or skill that they might want to pursue as a career, while they keep up with their school studies in maths, science and English.
To accomplish this, students spend the majority of their week at school studying core subjects, and the rest at CPIT’s Trades Innovation Institute Campus on Ensors Road developing trade skills which are taught with a strong practical focus. We look forward to introducing new CTC courses for 2012, to include a more comprehensive range of tertiary qualifications.
By the end of your study you will leave with both academic secondary education qualifications as well as a tertiary qualification which could lead to an apprenticeship, job or further studies.
