Starting to think about your next steps? Want to get some idea about what tertiary study is like before leaving school? CPIT has a number of courses on offer for you if you are still at high school or have just completed school. There are three programmes that can help you make the transition from studying at school to studying at CPIT:
- STAR courses are for year 11-13 students who are still at school but want to learn a subject not normally taught at your high school. You still attend your high school, but you also study at college for your chosen subject.
- Canterbury Tertiary College (CTC) is open to year 12 and 13 students who wish to get industry based training in addition to completing their high school education.
- The Youth Guarantees scheme is for 16 and 17 year old high school leavers and provides free tertiary study for students who have completed Year 11.
