Our General Practitioner (GP) offers comprehensive medical services to staff and students. We offer an affordable and confidential service with the ease of being on the campus site. Even if you have your own GP, our services are still available to you. The GP service is by appointment only. You can book an appointment by either phoning us or coming into the Health Centre reception.

Community Services Card

You may be eligible to apply for a Community Services Card. This allows you to get general  practitioner (GP) services at discounted rates. You can find out more information and how to apply for a card by contacting the Community Services Card Unit, Freephone 0800 999 999, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

The GP is available during term time:

  • Monday – 11am to 3pm
  • Tuesday – 9am to 1pm
  • Thursday – 9am to 1pm

Fees

The following fees apply per visit:

  • Under 18 - $10.00
  • With Community Services Card - $10.00
  • Without Community Services Card - $25.00
  • International students - $50.00
  • Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) - $5.00 surcharge
  • Minor surgery – doctor’s discretion

You can pay by cash, EFTPos or credit card (Visa and Mastercard).

Entry requirements

You will need to register to use a service at the Health Centre. Bring your Student ID card, course receipt or Staff ID card on your first visit.
