The Careers Centre provides a free service to students and prospective students including high school students.

We offer the following services:

Career advice and planning

There are skills and techniques that can help you make wise career decisions. Our Career Centre staff know how to assist you with your career concerns , ideas and dreams, whatever stage you're at - whether you are starting out, thinking of changing or seeking ways to progress your career.

Career Voyage

To assist you with making career decisions we have Career Voyage which is a program relating a person's interests to occupations and gives information about those occupations. This process takes one hour and is guided by a careers counsellor.

To use this program, please make an appointment or visit the Career Centre on Thursdays between 9am and 12 noon.

Hours

Madras Street Campus:

  • Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm
  • Career Voyage - Thursday 9am to noon

Trades Innovation Institute

  • Tuesday 9am - 1pm
  • Wednesday 9am-5pm
  • Thursday 12 noon - 5pm

Drop-in sessions for career counselling

The Career Centre is open for career advice and planning assistance on a drop-in basis where no appointment is necessary on:    

Madras Street Campus

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays - 12 noon to 1pm
  • Thursdays - 9am to 12 noon
  • Mid-January to mid-February - 9am to 5pm every day

Trades Innovation Institute

  • Drop in 12 noon - 1pm or by appointment an appointment folder is at the Welcome Desk

At these times you can speak with a career counsellor for up to 15 minutes. If a longer consultation is needed, or if you prefer to make an appointment outside these hours please contact us.
