The Career Centre offers the following free seminars at intervals throughout the year to help you get that job. Come to each of these three seminars and you'll be amazed how your confidence grows in looking for jobs.

Job hunting strategies

Job hunting can be a tough business. Looking at situations vacant in the local newspaper is no longer sufficient for the active job seeker. If this is your only way of finding out about job opportunities then the chances are you're missing out on a lot.

This seminar will cover all the different ways you can find work and help you take the first steps into job search with confidence.  

CV writing

The purpose of a CV is to get a job interview. It is important that your CV compares well to other applicants and presents your experience and attributes to a prospective employer in the most positive way.

This one hour seminar covers what you need to include in your CV and how to format it professionally.  

Interview skills

A good interview may just tip the balance your way when it comes to an employer making a decision between you and someone else.

In this seminar, find out how to prepare for an interview, some typical questions you might be asked, and the kind of behaviour employers expect from applicants throughout the interview. 

Plan a CV

This three hour workshop will provide you with information on what is required on a CV, a cover letter and give tips on interview techniques. Fee is $20.00.
