The Centre for Māori and Pasifika Achievement (CMPA) is housed within the Te Puna Wānaka building and offers support and guidance to all our Māori and Pasifika students.

Our aim is to provide you with the right support or point you in the direction to get the support you need to help you during your study and for when you leave and find employment. We have links with other services within CPIT along with external agencies and groups.

We can help you with all aspects of your study journey here such as:

  • course and programme information
  • scholarships
  • financial assistance
  • language support
  • learning and disability services
  • support groups
  • study and exam help
  • pastoral care and guidance.

We can also help you with the transition from being a student to being employed with our links to the Career Centre and external trade organisations and groups.

We hold social events during the year such as karakia, bbq’s, fun days, sports tournaments, and hangi which you and other CPIT students can take part in and enjoy.

Our service is confidential and all of our staff members are experienced and specialised.
