February 201610 Go by Bike Day
Free breakfast when you ride your bike to CPIT Aoraki this Wednesday.
Stop by CPIT Aoraki on the corner of Madras and St Asaph Streets for a delicious breakfast and giveaways. You can also get your bike checked for free. This is a national event that CPIT Aoraki is supporting in Christchurch. On Go By Bike Day New Zealanders are encouraged to cycle to work or school instead of taking the car.
- Cycling to work means no more paying for parking or petrol and you can usually park your bike right outside your office
- Cycling is good for your body and mind. It makes you fitter, healthier and more productive
- Christchurch is perfect for cycling. It's mostly flat, there's plenty of cycle lanes, and more being built all the time.
- Cycling is good for the environment
