Kelley Li Ye decided to study for her Bachelor of Nursing degree at CPIT because she had learned the institute was a great place to study and in her words was “famous for its nursing programme.”

“I knew that CPIT was the best place to study for my nursing qualification and quickly realised that it was even better than I hoped.  I particularly enjoyed the clinical placements and especially those at stage six as I was able to choose the study area in which I was most interested.”

“Because of the major focus on practice-based training, a CPIT nursing degree gives you a real advantage in finding a job.  Being work-ready makes it much easier and gave me peace of mind.”

“I found the tutors really supportive and I know they give students as much help as they can.  You get one-on-one learning support when you need it.”

“Although I found the workload quite heavy at times, I loved being at CPIT and the atmosphere around the city campus.  I think it really helped me decide to stay in Christchurch to live and work.”

“CPIT has a good reputation and good learning facilities. It was recommended to me by my older brother who studied here many years ago. CPIT offers a one-year diploma in marketing that ideally suited my interests and career goals.

Being able to talk and study with local kiwis and international students at CPIT was great. The tutors were also approachable and the classroom atmosphere was relaxed in a positive way - I feel I’m now more comfortable participating in class activities.

I hope to be a marketing manager for an international telecommunication company. This course taught me valuable marketing theories as well as applied marketing strategies which I will be able to use in the real world.”

This course covers all subjects, which are crucial in the modern industries. It also prepares a student according to the engineering drawing standards of New Zealand and the latest CAD software which is used widely throughout world. So, students can be employed in any company and in any part of world.

I also liked the guidance of tutors. Because of their friendly behaviour, I never hesitated to ask them any questions.
