The Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT) centre is one of the largest and most experienced of IELTS examination centres in New Zealand. We have a large pool of certificated examiners who are very capable and greatly experienced.

Registration
Registration for any exam date is from:
Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:00pm & Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm.
Registration Fee is $360 - payable by Credit Card, cash or cheque.
You must bring your passport and two new passport-sized photos when you register.
If you live outside Christchurch you may register by mail by sending a completed registration form, photocopy of your passport, two recent photos of yourself and a cheque made out to "Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology" or "CPIT".

How to get to CPIT IELTS Examination Centre
CPIT is very central. It is a short walk from the city centre, or you may take the free "City Shuttle" bus which stops directly opposite the main entrance.
Free car parking is available in the student car parks off Barbadoes St every Saturday for your convenience.
Important Exam Information
The test is always on a Saturday afternoon and you will need about 4 hours.
Letters containing information about exam day are sent out one week before your interview day. Please read these carefully as they tell you where to go, what to bring, and give you your interview time.
Your interview may be any day of the week before the exam - according to number of candidates, but candidates from outside Christchurch are always interviewed on the morning of the exam day.
If you are unhappy with your exam results you may request a re-mark on any or all of the exam areas, but you must request this within one month of the issue of the Test Report Form.
