Industry leaders suggest Canterbury based employment vacancies will swell throughout all sectors during the next five years with the most critical shortage expected within engineering, architecture, design and construction related trades.

One of our research priorities is to engage with industry and our community to develop innovative solutions and initiatives for rebuilding Canterbury.
Our research contribution includes measuring responses to the earthquake throughout the Canterbury education sector in order to support resilience in disaster recovery for education in the future.
CPIT is currently involved in a number of initiatives for assisting Canterbury's recovery including the Art Box project, dedicated to establishing gallery and studio spaces for displaced Christchurch artists and reviving the Canterbury arts scene.
