About mental health support

Mental health support work is a challenging and rewarding career choice. Support workers assist those with mental health issues to live independent lives in a community setting.

A mental health worker is responsible for providing support services to individuals and families experiencing mental health issues. This may include confidential individual, family or group support.

A mental health worker must be familiar with other services and resources in the community and work closely with them to provide information and support when required.
