About quantity surveying
Quantity surveyors are experts at costing building projects. Involved at every stage of a building's development, as a quantity surveyor, you will work closely with architects, engineers and other members of the building team to ensure that a building is designed and completed within budget, from concept to completion.
You might work in a private firm of quantity surveyors, in a building contracting company, for a government agency or enterprise, in project management or for subcontractors or suppliers. As you gain experience the opportunities will grow further with the projects becoming more challenging and complex.
