About science

Science professionals are practical people with an enquiring mind. They normally work as part of a small team where each individual's contribution is valued and they make a behind the scenes contribution to the whole community. Many laboratory technician jobs also provide the opportunity of working with high-tech equipment in molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology and analytical chemistry.

This is an industry that never stops developing and expanding. It offers good career opportunities, with potential employment in fields such as medicine, food manufacturing, research and environmental laboratories.
