Job hunting workshops

We have combined the following workshops to give you the choice of enrolling on our intensive 2-day job hunting programme or you can select one or more to suit your individual needs.

Whether you want to reinvent your career, or get back into the workforce, these workshops can help you gain the skills needed to realise your career goals and put your plan into place.

Choosing Your Career

Eighty percent of people do not enjoy their job and many of us spend more time planning a holiday than we do our career! Given that we spend most of our waking hours at work, it is important that we find a job or career that we actually enjoy.

Generally the best jobs are the ones that match our interests and skills. This one day workshop will help you in two ways.

  1. It will help you identify which careers or jobs you are likely to enjoy and be successful in
  2. It shows you how to research those jobs to see what opportunities are available in that field of work.

Helping you get that Job

This is a time where many people are finding if difficult to get work, any work. Given that only 20-30% of all jobs are advertised, how can you find the jobs that are out there but not advertised? This one day worksho shows you the most successful ways of finding and getting a job.

You will learn how to research and find out about the jobs that interest you; find out about the 'hidden' jobs and discover a range of job search strategies that create opportunities for securing employment; gain knowledge to write a good CV and cover letter; and get practical tips on how to do well in an interview.
