At CPIT we offer a range of English language programmes and courses for whatever level you are currently at. Our programmes and courses are designed to provide you with the work-ready professional language skills needed in the global marketplace.
From General English and Cambridge exams to English Language Teaching, our programmes are delivered by professional tutors with many years of experience.
We are also the only IELTS Testing Centre in Christchurch and a member of English New Zealand.
To further assist your learning, we have a Language Self Access Centre (LSAC) where you can go to practise and improve your English.
Important course and programme information
We are accepting English Language enrolments on a weekly start date basis until further notice.
All students who study for four weeks or more with CPIT's School of English Language will get a free textbook.
Students will receive informal progress feedback regularly, as well as a formal progress report every six weeks. All students will sit a levels test in week 11 of each term.
Students who graduate get a learners report and certificate, while students who continue their study get an end of term report. You will also get a certificate if you study at CPIT's School of English for 3 weeks or more.
A $500 scholarship for the most improved student in EAP, IELTS, PET, FCE and ENTS530 has been made available. Any international student studying at CPIT for 14 weeks or more can get a part time job due to immigration laws allowing work nights for any international students attending a category 1 institute, of which CPIT is.

Students who complete 24 weeks of English study will receive a free IELTS exam.
