2012 CPIT Graduation Dates

The 2012 CPIT graduation dates have just been announced. The autumn graduation will be on the 30 March 2012 and the spring graduation will be on the 21 September 2012.

Graduation is a celebration of your academic achievement which can be shared with family, friends, fellow students and the whole CPIT community. Students are entitled to attend a Graduation ceremony when they successfully complete an approved programme of study at or above level 4, whether the qualification is a certificate, diploma or degree. Some qualifications below level 4 may also be awarded at a Graduation ceremony.

You can receive your award via post or by:

  • attending a Graduation ceremony
  • collecting it in person from the Institute after the date of the Graduation ceremony.

If you are eligible to attend a Graduation ceremony, you should receive a letter from CPIT advising you. If you believe you are entitled to graduate and have not received a letter then please contact us. Remember to keep your postal address up to date.

There is a strict "dress code" requiring graduands to wear the appropriate regalia when they attend a Graduation ceremony. There is a charge for hiring regalia.

In order to receive your qualification document you should complete the application form for "Awarding of a Qualification", indicating whether you wish to have your qualification awarded at the ceremony or in absentia (not at the ceremony).

If you request to graduate in absentia, your qualification document will be mailed to you or held for you to collect after the graduation ceremony date at; CPIT Registry, Central Academic Records. Their office is situated in the Rakaia Centre. The main entrance is on Madras Street. You will need to bring proof of your identity at that time, e.g. your student ID Card or driver's licence.
