In 2011 we continue to undertake consultation and research to update our understanding of the region’s needs. In previous years we have been required by the Tertiary Education Commission to undertake an additional dedicated consultation process throughout the Canterbury region and with specific industry groups to update the Canterbury Regional Statement by 1 June of each year. The last statement was prepared and published in mid-2009.

CPIT now uses existing embedded stakeholder, industry and community processes, Council and Chief Executive sponsored consultation, Faculty Advisory Boards, Programme Advisory Committees and consultation networks and its membership on a range of external professional and territorial agencies and bodies. The consultation and research is ongoing and embedded through such processes as our Annual Programme Evaluations and Reviews.
