Helping you achieve your aspirations
For over 100 years we’ve enjoyed an outstanding reputation for well-structured and flexible programmes that respond to employer and student needs.
Your success is our priority and we believe the foundation for that success relies on a personalised learning approach with easy access to impressive resources, and emphasis on the practical application of your studies.
As a CPIT student you will be taught by industry professionals and benefit from a high staff-student ratio. Our lecturers and tutors are chosen for expertise in their field and share their knowledge, practical experience and industry connections to ensure you graduate work ready from day one.
Qualifications
CPIT certificates, diplomas, degrees and graduate qualifications are highly regarded nationally and internationally and our strong partnerships with leading institutions, businesses and associations will also prove beneficial to your career.
Campuses
We have two main campuses in Christchurch – Madras Street and the Trades Innovation Institute on Sullivan Avenue. Both are warm and welcoming environments with wide-ranging student support services. As part of our commitment to encouraging access to computing education throughout our local community, we also have four Campus Connect branches in Hornby, Bishopdale, New Brighton and Rangiora.
Mission
The community inside CPIT and CPIT inside the community.
CPIT Foundation
The CPIT Foundation works in partnership with us to help fund innovative projects that can "make a difference" to individual students and staff, to CPIT as a whole, and through them ultimately to the community.
Opening hours
Our standard opening hours are 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. The pod in the Rakaia Centre on Madras Street is accessible 24 hours, seven days a week with your swipe card for access to the computer labs next to the library.
